More than 40 species of bare-root pine, spruce and hardwood seedlings sold at cost, plus pollinator, wildlife and riparian buffer packs
The Virginia Department of Forestry grows seedlings at its Augusta and Garland Gray nurseries and sells them at cost to private and public landowners for planting in Virginia. Stock includes 1-, 2- and 3-year-old bare-root seedlings, longleaf and shortleaf pine for restoration, and specialty packs such as fall color, pollinator, quail habitat, riparian buffer and wildlife. Orders over 1,000 trees go through a separate reforestation order program.

How to apply
Order online at buyvatrees.com or with printed Tree Seedling Order form 12.02; the Seedling Price Guide (P00139) lists species and prices. Orders are accepted from early October through late April, with pickup or UPS shipping from the Augusta Forestry Center during the planting season.
