Trees for Cities volunteer planting days and schools programme
馃嚞馃嚙 United Kingdom 路 Trees for Cities
Free community tree-planting days, a Tree Watering Champion scheme and summer tree-care events in UK towns and cities
Trees for Cities runs urban planting projects with local communities. Residents can join planting days in parks, streets and estates during the October to March planting season, water newly planted trees near them as a Tree Watering Champion, or attend summer maintenance events. Its Trees for Schools programme (Healthy Playgrounds, Edible Playgrounds, tree planting) works with urban schools, funded by partners.
Who qualifies
Open to the public; the volunteer page states no age or other restrictions. Planting days are promoted locally, so you are told about events near you. Schools interested in the schools programme contact the team directly.
How to apply
Join the volunteer mailing list on the website to hear about local planting days, or subscribe to the Tree Times newsletter. Schools email Schools@treesforcities.org.
