NRD Conservation Tree Program
馃嚭馃嚫 NE, United States 路 Nebraska Natural Resources Districts with the Nebraska Forest Service
Low-cost conifer, deciduous tree and shrub seedlings for windbreaks, erosion control and wildlife habitat, ordered through your local Natural Resources District
Nebraska's 23 Natural Resources Districts sell conservation tree and shrub seedlings for windbreaks, erosion control, wildlife habitat and other conservation purposes; the Nebraska Forest Service says NRDs help landowners plant more than a million trees across the state each year. Each NRD runs its own program, and depending on the district services can include windbreak design, planting, weed barrier installation or weed control, and drip irrigation. The statewide species list covers conifers, deciduous trees and shrubs with expected heights.
Who qualifies
The programs are for landowners planting for conservation purposes; eligibility, prices and minimums are set by each NRD and are not stated on the statewide pages.
