馃嚭馃嚫 Portland, OR, United States 路 Friends of Trees with Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry
Free street trees (with permit coordination and three years of watering) and up to five free yard trees, planted at neighborhood volunteer events
Friends of Trees plants free street and yard trees for residents of most neighborhoods in North, Northeast, Southeast, and outer East Portland, in partnership with Portland Urban Forestry and the Portland Clean Energy Fund. Staff measure and permit street tree sites and send a list of approved species; yard trees are ordered through an online tree store that opens in September. Volunteers plant the trees at neighborhood events from December through March.
