馃嚭馃嚫 CA, United States 路 CAL FIRE (California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection)

Reimburses 90% of costs (80% for ownerships of 500 acres or more) for reforestation, site prep, thinning, pruning and wildlife habitat work on private forestland

CFIP is CAL FIRE's cost-share program for nonindustrial private forest landowners. It pays most of the cost of a Forest Management Plan written by a Registered Professional Forester and of practices such as reforestation, site preparation, stand improvement, pruning and fish and wildlife habitat improvement. Broadcast, controlled or cultural burning is not eligible.

Who qualifies

Owners of 20 to 5,000 acres of California forestland (land at least 10 percent occupied by native trees of any size); the 20-acre minimum does not apply to land zoned Timberland Production Zone. Individuals, businesses, nonprofits and public agencies may apply. Landowners with fewer than 500 acres receive 90% reimbursement; 500 acres or more receive 80% or 90% depending on the project.
