Free native trees for New Orleans residents, planted by volunteers in the cool season
About
SOUL reforests New Orleans one neighborhood at a time, planting native trees along streets and in front yards for residents who sign up and agree to water them. Volunteers do the planting on Saturdays from fall to spring. The site explains how to get trees and which species do well in the city's wet soils.
