About
Centro de Estudos Rioterra is a Brazilian nonprofit founded in Porto Velho in 1999 that restores degraded Amazon land in Rondônia and neighbouring states. It runs a nursery in Itapuã do Oeste with capacity for up to 3 million seedlings, plants native species in riparian and legal-reserve areas under its Foresting 4Us campaign, and implements cocoa and açaí agroforestry systems with smallholders through projects such as Cacau Amazônia+ and Quintais Amazônicos. In 2025 it produced 1.1 million native seedlings, planted 991,640 of them and restored 542 hectares.
