About

The White Rose Forest is the Community Forest for North and West Yorkshire, hosted by Kirklees Council in Huddersfield. It helps landowners take a woodland idea through to funded planting, and its volunteers have planted in Dewsbury, Leeds and elsewhere; you can join for one session or a whole season. The site explains why trees matter for flooding and heat in the Yorkshire valleys.
