New Zealand marketplace matching native tree funders with community planting projects

About

Trees That Count is a New Zealand charity (Trees That Count Te Rahi o Tāne Trust) launched in 2016 by the Project Crimson Trust, which has protected pōhutukawa and rātā since 1990. It runs an online marketplace where individuals and businesses fund native trees that are then allocated to vetted community planting groups, iwi and landowners around the country. The charity reports more than 3.3 million native trees funded since 2016 across more than 1,800 projects.

What they run

Original conservation programme of the trust, protecting and planting pōhutukawa and rātā since 1990; over 300,000 trees planted before Trees That Count launched.
