All-volunteer group that has planted 27,000 trees in Miami-Dade parks and preserves
About
TREEmendous Miami is a volunteer group, established in 1999, that plants and protects native trees across Miami-Dade County. It has restored the maritime hammock at Virginia Key Beach Park and planted at the FIU Nature Preserve, and its Trees That Feed program brings fruit trees to homes in low-canopy neighborhoods. Members join planting and maintenance days.
