About
Sázíme stromy (We Plant Trees) is a Prague-registered institute founded in February 2014 that organises tree and shrub planting in the open agricultural landscape of the Czech Republic. Companies fund the trees, municipalities provide the land and commit to aftercare, and employees, schoolchildren and local volunteers do the planting under the guidance of about 80 regional coordinators. In 2024 it ran 202 plantings with 5,411 volunteers (5,520 trees and 11,806 shrubs), started post-planting care teambuilding days, and set up a subsidiary, Sázíme s.r.o., to offer professional formative pruning to municipalities. It publishes an annual report (výroční zpráva) with planting counts and audited accounts.
What they run
Company-funded planting days of avenues, orchards and shrub belts in farmland, planted by employees, schools and the public and handed over to the municipality for care.
From 2024, volunteer and corporate days that return to earlier plantings to fix stakes, weed, mulch and prune, including a 2024 series of 9 events with the Scout Institute.
