Replanting Springfield, Massachusetts after the 2011 tornado, with volunteers and a new nursery
About
ReGreen Springfield started in 2012 after the June 2011 tornado took out much of the city's canopy, and it has planted more than 3,000 trees since. It runs neighborhood plantings, a shade tree nursery in Holyoke, and technical help for groups that want trees on their own sites. Volunteers can sign up on its calendar.
