Plants trees and runs community gardens and green job training in Hartford
About
KNOX has worked on Hartford's green spaces since 1966, when City Councilwoman Betty Knox set up the trust that started it. Its tree planting crew puts hundreds of trees into city neighborhoods each year, and it runs community gardens, a green jobs apprenticeship and environmental classes for students. Volunteers can join a planting or garden day.
