Forest restoration, urban greening and environmental education in Southern Africa

About

Greenpop Foundation NPC is a Cape Town-based nonprofit that has planted trees since 2010 and works in Sub-Saharan Africa, with projects in South Africa, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania. Its landscape restoration work includes the Uilenkraal Valley forest restoration project near Gansbaai, running since 2011, and its urban greening portfolio plants trees at schools and community sites. It also runs the annual Reforest Fest planting festival and education programs. Greenpop publishes annual reports with program-level tree counts rather than a single consolidated total.
