Has planted more than fifty thousand native trees in Anchorage parks; volunteer days all summer
About
The Anchorage Park Foundation invests in Anchorage's parks and trails and has planted more than fifty thousand native trees along the way, often to replace spruce lost to beetles. Residents can sign up for volunteer opportunities or attend park open houses and events. The season is short, so most planting happens from May to September.
