**What you get:** Help from a state Area Forester to write a Forest Stewardship Plan for private forest land of 10 or more acres

The Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands helps private forest landowners manage their forests and related resources so the land stays productive and healthy. The program provides resources to develop a Forest Stewardship Plan, which identifies the property's goals and priorities and recommends management activities to meet them. Common priorities in Utah include wildfire risk reduction, forest health, timber-based economic diversification and wildlife habitat enhancement.

## Who qualifies

Nonindustrial private forest landowners with at least 10 acres. Nonindustrial land is owned by a private individual, group, association, corporation or other private legal entity. Eligible land is rural land with existing tree cover or land suitable for growing trees.
