**What you get:** Free forester site visit and a written forest stewardship plan covering up to ten years

Texas A&M Forest Service foresters help landowners write a stewardship or management plan for timber, wildlife habitat, soil and water, or recreation. Plans cover up to ten years and the agency will visit the property on request (visits run about 30 minutes to four hours). Plan-writing and visits are offered at no cost to the landowner.

## Who qualifies

Texas forest landowners. The program page states no acreage minimum. The agency's Certified Forest Steward recognition is for owners of at least 10 acres with a written plan.

## How to apply

Submit the online Request for Assistance form (texasforestinfo.tamu.edu/AssistanceRequest), call (979) 458-6600, email txfip@tfs.tamu.edu, or contact a district office from the agency directory. A forester replies by email or phone and may schedule a site visit; expect the plan a few weeks to two months after the first visit.

**For:** Landowners, Farmers

> Note: Requests are handled in the order received and timing depends on forester workload.
