**What you get:** Volunteer planting of 30 or more trees along a neighborhood's streets and front yards, with two years of care by Trees Atlanta

Neighborhoods can request a NeighborWoods planting project in which Trees Atlanta, neighborhood residents and volunteers plant trees in front yards and the public right-of-way. Trees Atlanta provides the trees, tools and expertise and maintains the trees for two years (mulching, pruning, watering). Plantings run October through March, usually on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

## Who qualifies

A neighborhood must have a need for 30 or more trees in front yards and/or public right-of-way, plus neighborhood participation. Residents are asked to help water trees on their street during high water stress.

## How to apply

Submit the request form on the Neighborhood Tree Planting page; a NeighborWoods project coordinator contacts you for a consultation. Planting dates are announced a few weeks in advance. Individuals can also volunteer at planting events via the Trees Atlanta events calendar.

**When:** Plantings October through March

**For:** Community groups, Homeowners, HOAs, Renters

> Note: Page does not state a cost to the neighborhood; the companion Yard Tree program is the route for individual households.
