**What you get:** Containerized trees at discounted prices, and free giveaway trees in some cities, for planting on private property

Tree Trust runs spring and fall tree sales and giveaways with about 20 Twin Cities communities, including Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Residents order containerized trees at discounted rates for their own property and pick them up on a set date. Some cities fund giveaways that use an application instead of a sale.

## Who qualifies

Residents of participating cities: Arden Hills, Eden Prairie, Edina, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Mahtomedi, Maplewood, Mendota Heights, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, New Brighton, Robbinsdale, Roseville, Saint Paul, South Saint Paul, Spring Lake Park, St. Louis Park, Vadnais Heights, West Saint Paul and Woodbury. Renters can buy through their landlord. Trees must go on private property, not the boulevard. Tree Trust does not sell maples.

## How to apply

Enter your zip code on the sale site linked from treetrust.org/non-profit/trees-for-sale/ to see whether your city's sale or giveaway application is open; sales open at different times by city. Trees not picked up are not refunded. Call Gopher State One Call at least three days before digging. Questions: 952-767-3880.

**When:** Spring and fall; opening dates vary by city

**For:** Homeowners, Renters

> Note: Prices are not listed on the program page. When checked, sales were marked open for Minneapolis, Edina, Mahtomedi, Robbinsdale, Spring Lake Park, St. Louis Park, Vadnais Heights and Woodbury, and giveaway applications open for Saint Paul, New Brighton, South Saint Paul and West Saint Paul; the page says to check back for fall sales.
