**What you get:** Request a City-planted tree in the public right-of-way in front of your property

The City of Pittsburgh Forestry Division plants trees on public property, including the strip between sidewalk and street. Residents submit a Tree Planting Request Form to the Forestry Division, which puts them on a list of interested residents considered as the City plants street trees. Planting your own tree in the right-of-way requires a Forestry permit.

## Who qualifies

City of Pittsburgh residents requesting a tree on City-owned land or in the public right-of-way. Permits are required for all planting on City-owned land or within the public right-of-way.

## How to apply

Download and submit the Tree Planting Request Form (PDF) to the Forestry Division; planting locations can be explored on the City Wide Green Space Planting Map. Other street-tree work requests go through 311 (dial 3-1-1 in the city, 412-255-2621 outside, or online at pittsburghpa.my.site.com/311).

**For:** Homeowners, Renters

> Note: The City page gives no timeline, cost or planting season; Tree Pittsburgh's street tree page says the form puts you on a waiting list considered as the City plants. The request form is dated 2014.
