**What you get:** Low-cost trees (free when grant funds allow) planted in the street right-of-way, and a free permit to plant your own

KC Parks Forestry and Conservation manages trees in the right-of-way along Kansas City streets and boulevards. Planting funds are supplemented by grants and partner organizations to provide low-cost trees for residents who want trees in the right-of-way; when funds are not available for your council district you are put on a waiting list. Foresters also issue free permits to residents who want to plant, prune or remove right-of-way trees themselves.

## Who qualifies

Kansas City, Missouri residents with a plantable right-of-way strip along their street. "Although funds may not always be available for a specific council district, the staff will place your name on a waiting list for when funds do become available." Permits cost nothing.

## How to apply
