**What you get:** Free native bare-root seedlings handed out to Arkansans at locations across the state each spring around Arbor Day

Each spring the Arkansas Department of Agriculture celebrates Arbor Day with its Free Tree Friday campaign, distributing free native bare-root seedlings at locations across the state to encourage tree planting. The campaign is funded by the USDA Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Program in partnership with the department. A species guide and a how-to-plant guide for bare-root trees are posted with each year's event. Anyone wanting more seedlings can buy them in bulk from Baucum Nursery.
