## About

Trees, Water & People (TWP) is a Fort Collins, Colorado nonprofit founded in 1998 that helps communities protect, conserve and manage the natural resources they depend on. Its Mesoamerica Program works with local partner organizations in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico on community-based reforestation, agroecology and Justa clean cookstoves, while its Indigenous Lands Program (founded 2005) supports Tribal forestry, riparian restoration and seedling planting with Pueblos in New Mexico and the Ute Mountain Ute in Colorado. TWP reported 94,800 trees and seedlings planted and 1,500 cookstoves installed in 2025.

## Metrics

> Note: TWP's 2025 Impact Report PDF gives 94,800 trees and seedlings planted and 1,500 Justa cookstoves installed, while its web Impact page lists 95,400 trees and 1,642 cookstoves under a '2025-2026' heading; the two periods are not explained, so we use the PDF figures. The 85,800 Mesoamerica and 9,000 New Mexico figures sum to 94,800. TWP's fiscal year ends March 31 and it publishes no cumulative tree total.
