## About

Trees for Oakland is a volunteer group that plants street trees in Oakland for residents who request one and agree to water it. It handles the city permit, picks a species from the city's approved list, and plants on scheduled weekend days with volunteers. The site explains how to get a tree and how to care for it afterward.
