## About

Trees for Canterbury has grown native plants in Christchurch since 1990 and gives away about 5,000 of them each March to schools, churches and community groups with a project on publicly accessible land. Its nursery at Ferrymead sells to the public, winter orders open in advance, and community planting events are listed on its calendar. The nursery also trains and employs people who have struggled to find work.
