## About

The Tree Foundation of Kern has planted more than 23,000 trees in Bakersfield and Kern County since 1994, most of them with volunteers at schools, parks and along streets. Its Citizen Forester course trains residents to plant and prune, and its site covers which trees handle the southern San Joaquin Valley's heat. Plantings are posted on its events page.
