## About

The Tree Council of Ireland was set up in 1985 as an umbrella body for groups that plant and care for trees. It runs National Tree Week each March with Coillte, with walks and plantings in every county, and National Tree Day in October gives saplings to primary schools. Its site explains how to plant a tree and which trees feed pollinators, and you can sponsor a native tree for new woodland.
