## About

The SDW has protected German forests since 1947 through tree planting, forest education and about 350 local groups with roughly 25,000 members. You can join a local group, bring children to a planting on the Tag des Baumes, or fund a tree through its Baumspende. Its forest education sites and teacher training are open to schools.
