## About

Reforesta is a Madrid-based non-profit association founded in 1991 and declared of public utility (Utilidad Pública) that works against desertification by restoring native vegetation, protecting amphibian ponds and running environmental education. Since 2010 it has organised volunteer planting and maintenance days for individuals and corporate teams at sites in Madrid (El Vellón, Meco, Pezuela de las Torres, Villarejo de Salvanés, Navacerrada), Toledo, Zaragoza (Galachos de la Alfranca), Granada (Parque de las Canteras, La Zubia), Barcelona (Garraf, Montnegre) and Valencia (Requena), and sells tree sponsorships through its 'Regala un Árbol' campaign. Its 2024 annual report lists 115 volunteer days, restoration work at 18 sites in six provinces and 108 collaborating companies and institutions, with no public subsidies that year; its homepage counters show 102,120 trees planted, 15,990 volunteers and 46 reforestation projects to date.
