## About

Pronatura México AC was created in 1981 and works from Mexico City on water, climate and biodiversity programs across Mexico, often through the regional Pronatura network. Its RECONECTA program since 2023 links companies and their employees to reforestation and soil-and-water conservation works with local communities, and it co-implemented the National Reforestation and Water Harvesting Program (PNRCA) with CONAFOR and The Coca-Cola Company from 2007 to 2020. It also develops community forest-carbon projects, including 68,876 hectares of ejido forest in Campeche.

## Programs

- **RECONECTA** — Reforestation (2023–present): Corporate-volunteer restoration program that combines strategic reforestation and soil-and-water conservation works with two years of technical monitoring, drone follow-up and carbon and infiltration estimates.
- **Programa Nacional de Reforestación y Cosecha de Agua (PNRCA)** — Reforestation (2007–2020): National reforestation and water-harvesting program run with CONAFOR and The Coca-Cola Company that reforested over 60,000 hectares between 2007 and 2020; Pronatura monitored outcomes in 2024.
