Projects can be flowers at the foot of street trees, open-ground planting after asphalt removal along building fronts or kerbs, or ground-level planters where open ground is not possible. The permit is free; the City does any ground works and brings topsoil, and the permit holder buys the plants and maintains the site year-round.","eligibility":"Any adult can apply but the project must be carried out by a collective: an association, neighbourhood council, school, business or a group of at least five residents whose names and contacts are listed. Not for parks, courtyards or balconies.","how_to_apply":"Create a MonParis account and submit the project online with photos, plans and the list of the collective, accepting the planting charter (no plastic, local bee-friendly plants, no pesticides). The City checks feasibility and emails the permit; keep at least 1.60 m of clear footway (1.80 m along tree pits). Permit lasts 3 years, renewed tacitly up to 12 years.","url":"https://www.paris.fr/pages/un-permis-pour-vegetaliser-paris-2689","source_url":"https://www.paris.fr/pages/un-permis-pour-vegetaliser-paris-2689","season":"Applications accepted year-round","program_status":"active","lat":48.8566,"lng":2.3522,"data_note":"Page last updated 19 November 2025.
