{"slug":"wownature","name":"WOWnature (Etifor)","tagline":"Adopt a tree in a named Italian forest, then come and plant it yourself at a calendar event","description":"WOWnature is run by Etifor, a University of Padova spin-off and B Corp, and has planted about 339,000 trees in 172 managed forests since 2018. You pick a species and a site, from Monte Grappa to the Tuscan hills, pay from about 19 euros, and get the location so you can follow the tree. Its event calendar lists days when adopters plant their own trees by hand.","website_url":"https://www.wownature.eu","tier":"listed","resident_offers":["volunteer"],"listed_source_url":"https://www.wownature.eu","logo_url":null,"founded_year":2018,"org_type":"social_enterprise","scope":"national","headquarters":{"city":"Padova","region":"Veneto","country":"IT","lat":45.4064,"lng":11.8768},"volunteer_url":null,"donation_url":"https://www.wownature.eu/adotta-regala/","events_url":"https://www.wownature.eu/calendario-eventi-piantare-alberi-wownature/","featured":false,"trees_on_record":0,"primary_activity":"reforestation","activities":[{"slug":"reforestation","name":"Reforestation","primary":true},{"slug":"carbon-offset-planting","name":"Carbon offset planting","primary":false}],"updated_at":"2026-11-08T08:55:34.010Z","url":"https://treerm.org/org/wownature","markdown_url":"https://treerm.org/org/wownature.md","api_url":"https://treerm.org/api/v1/organizations/wownature","data_note":null,"derived":{"annual_trees":[],"latest_annual":null,"yoy":null,"cagr":null,"dollars_raised_per_tree":null,"cost_per_tree":null,"trees_per_volunteer":null,"survival":null,"hectares":null,"transparency":{"score":0,"label":"Opaque","points":[{"key":"annual","label":"Publishes annual tree figures","earned":0,"max":20,"why":"No year-by-year figures found"},{"key":"recent","label":"Figures are recent","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No dated annual figure"},{"key":"sourced","label":"Every figure has a public source","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No figures on record"},{"key":"money","label":"Publishes financials or cost per tree","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No financial figure on record"},{"key":"survival","label":"Reports survival or monitoring","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No survival or monitoring figure on record"},{"key":"verified","label":"Independently verified figure","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"Every figure is the organization's own count"},{"key":"programs","label":"Breaks figures down by program","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No program breakdown"},{"key":"people","label":"Reports volunteers or events","earned":0,"max":5,"why":"No volunteer figures or events on record"}]},"methodology":"https://treerm.org/methodology"},"countries":["IT"],"social_links":{"instagram":"https://www.instagram.com/wownature.eu","facebook":"https://www.facebook.com/wownature.eu/","linkedin":"https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/wownature/","youtube":"https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtcYb-D2i1aZzXL83TBpRnQ/featured"},"programs":[],"metrics":[],"upcoming_events":[],"license":"CC-BY-4.0"}
