{"slug":"soverdi","name":"Soverdi","tagline":"Plants trees across Greater Montreal and sells low-cost trees to island residents twice a year","description":"Soverdi, the Société de verdissement du Montréal métropolitain, has planted more than 150,000 trees on institutional, private and community land since 2012 and coordinates the region's Plan ARBRE. If you own or rent a residential property on the Island of Montreal, you can buy a 1 to 3 metre tree from about 25 dollars through its Un arbre pour mon quartier campaign, with pickups in June and October. Companies can book planting days with their staff.","website_url":"https://soverdi.org","tier":"listed","resident_offers":["discounted_trees","volunteer"],"listed_source_url":"https://soverdi.org/passez-a-laction/plantez-sur-votre-terrain/","logo_url":null,"founded_year":1992,"org_type":"nonprofit","scope":"regional","headquarters":{"city":"Montreal","region":"Quebec","country":"CA","lat":45.502,"lng":-73.567},"volunteer_url":"https://soverdi.org/passez-a-laction/participez-a-des-journees-de-plantations-corporatives/","donation_url":"https://soverdi.org/passez-a-laction/contribuez-au-plan-arbre/","events_url":null,"featured":false,"trees_on_record":0,"primary_activity":"urban-forestry","activities":[{"slug":"urban-forestry","name":"Urban forestry","primary":true},{"slug":"tree-adoption-giveaway","name":"Tree adoption & giveaways","primary":false}],"updated_at":"2026-11-08T02:21:52.718Z","url":"https://treerm.org/org/soverdi","markdown_url":"https://treerm.org/org/soverdi.md","api_url":"https://treerm.org/api/v1/organizations/soverdi","data_note":null,"derived":{"annual_trees":[],"latest_annual":null,"yoy":null,"cagr":null,"dollars_raised_per_tree":null,"cost_per_tree":null,"trees_per_volunteer":null,"survival":null,"hectares":null,"transparency":{"score":0,"label":"Opaque","points":[{"key":"annual","label":"Publishes annual tree figures","earned":0,"max":20,"why":"No year-by-year figures found"},{"key":"recent","label":"Figures are recent","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No dated annual figure"},{"key":"sourced","label":"Every figure has a public source","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No figures on record"},{"key":"money","label":"Publishes financials or cost per tree","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No financial figure on record"},{"key":"survival","label":"Reports survival or monitoring","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No survival or monitoring figure on record"},{"key":"verified","label":"Independently verified figure","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"Every figure is the organization's own count"},{"key":"programs","label":"Breaks figures down by program","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No program breakdown"},{"key":"people","label":"Reports volunteers or events","earned":0,"max":5,"why":"No volunteer figures or events on record"}]},"methodology":"https://treerm.org/methodology"},"countries":["CA"],"social_links":{"instagram":"https://www.instagram.com/soverdimtl","facebook":"https://www.facebook.com/soverdi","linkedin":"https://www.linkedin.com/company/soverdi-soci"},"programs":[],"metrics":[],"upcoming_events":[],"license":"CC-BY-4.0"}
