Most trees are fruit and other livelihood species planted on smallholder farmers' land under its Rural Livelihood Support Plantation Program, alongside urban plantations and desert rewilding work in the Thar Desert and Ladakh. It reported 2.21 million trees planted in FY2024-25 and says it has planted more than 10 million trees that survived. It also runs water-harvesting, biogas and farmer-training projects.","website_url":"https://sankalptaru.org","logo_url":null,"founded_year":2012,"org_type":"nonprofit","scope":"national","headquarters":{"city":"Dehradun","region":"Uttarakhand","country":"IN","lat":30.3165,"lng":78.0322},"volunteer_url":"https://volunteer.sankalptaru.org/","donation_url":"https://sankalptaru.org/plant/","events_url":null,"featured":false,"trees_on_record":14000000,"primary_activity":"agroforestry","activities":[{"slug":"agroforestry","name":"Agroforestry","primary":true},{"slug":"afforestation","name":"Afforestation","primary":false},{"slug":"tree-adoption-giveaway","name":"Tree adoption & giveaways","primary":false},{"slug":"education-advocacy","name":"Education & advocacy","primary":false}],"updated_at":"2026-11-08T00:02:16.194Z","url":"https://treerm.org/org/sankalptaru","markdown_url":"https://treerm.org/org/sankalptaru.md","api_url":"https://treerm.org/api/v1/organizations/sankalptaru","data_note":"SankalpTaru's cumulative figures count trees 'planted and survived': its FY2024-25 annual report says it crossed 10 million, while its homepage in November 2026 shows 14M+.
