Its 2030 strategy runs four programs: Bosques (community forest management, conservation and restoration, including FSC certification support), Árboles (urban tree planting and the Árboles y Ciudades agenda), Incidencia (policy) and a corporate volunteering program, Mejores Alianzas, Mejores Bosques, that mobilises thousands of company volunteers for planting days. It reported about 295,000 trees planted in rural areas in 2025 and 215,337 in 2024, and represents the 1t.org Mexico chapter.","website_url":"https://www.reforestamosmexico.org","logo_url":null,"founded_year":2002,"org_type":"nonprofit","scope":"national","headquarters":{"city":"Mexico City","region":"Ciudad de México","country":"MX","lat":19.4326,"lng":-99.1332},"volunteer_url":"https://convocatorias.reforestamosmexico.org/","donation_url":"https://www.reforestamosmexico.org/donar/","events_url":null,"featured":false,"trees_on_record":510337,"primary_activity":"reforestation","activities":[{"slug":"reforestation","name":"Reforestation","primary":true},{"slug":"urban-forestry","name":"Urban forestry","primary":false},{"slug":"tree-care-maintenance","name":"Tree care & maintenance","primary":false},{"slug":"education-advocacy","name":"Education & advocacy","primary":false}],"updated_at":"2026-11-07T21:30:23.685Z","url":"https://treerm.org/org/reforestamos-mexico","markdown_url":"https://treerm.org/org/reforestamos-mexico.md","api_url":"https://treerm.org/api/v1/organizations/reforestamos-mexico","data_note":null,"derived":{"annual_trees":[{"year":2024,"value":215337},{"year":2025,"value":295000}],"latest_annual":{"year":2025,"value":295000},"yoy":0.36994571299869505,"cagr":null,"dollars_raised_per_tree":null,"cost_per_tree":null,"trees_per_volunteer":{"value":36.38381845091268,"year":2025,"trees":295000,"volunteers":8108},"survival":null,"hectares":{"value":125,"year":2025,"cumulative":false},"transparency":{"score":50,"label":"Partly documented","points":[{"key":"annual","label":"Publishes annual tree figures","earned":10,"max":20,"why":"2 years of annual figures on record (5 points each, up to 4 years)"},{"key":"recent","label":"Figures are recent","earned":15,"max":15,"why":"Latest annual figure is for 2025"},{"key":"sourced","label":"Every figure has a public source","earned":10,"max":10,"why":"5 of 5 figures link to a source"},{"key":"money","label":"Publishes financials or cost per tree","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No financial figure recorded"},{"key":"survival","label":"Reports survival or monitoring","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No survival or monitoring figure"},{"key":"verified","label":"Independently verified figure","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"All figures are the organization's own"},{"key":"programs","label":"Breaks figures down by program","earned":10,"max":10,"why":"Figures attached to named programs"},{"key":"people","label":"Reports volunteers or events","earned":5,"max":5,"why":"Volunteer figures on record"}]},"methodology":"https://treerm.org/methodology"},"countries":["MX"],"social_links":{"x":"https://twitter.com/ReforestamosMx","instagram":"https://www.instagram.com/reforestamosmexico/","facebook":"https://www.facebook.com/ReforestamosMexico/","linkedin":"https://www.linkedin.com/company/reforestamos-mexico/","youtube":"https://www.youtube.com/ReforestamosMex"},"programs":[{"slug":"bosques","name":"Programa Bosques","activity":"reforestation","description":"Community forest management, conservation and restoration in rural forest ejidos, including FSC certification support and rural reforestation plantings.","url":null,"started_year":null,"ended_year":null},{"slug":"mejores-alianzas-mejores-bosques","name":"Mejores Alianzas, Mejores Bosques","activity":"reforestation","description":"Corporate volunteering program in which company employees plant trees in rural restoration sites alongside communities.","url":null,"started_year":null,"ended_year":null},{"slug":"arboles","name":"Programa Árboles / Árboles y Ciudades","activity":"urban-forestry","description":"Urban tree planting, pollinator gardens and advocacy for better urban tree management, including the Centro Histórico alliance in Mexico City.","url":null,"started_year":null,"ended_year":null}],"metrics":[{"metric_type":"hectares_restored","year":2025,"value":125,"is_cumulative":false,"program":"bosques","source_url":"https://www.reforestamosmexico.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Informe-anual-2025.pdf","source_note":"Informe anual 2025, p.6: '125 hectáreas reforestadas' (plus 481 ha in restoration processes and 629 ha conserved)","confidence":"reported"},{"metric_type":"trees_planted","year":2025,"value":295000,"is_cumulative":false,"program":"bosques","source_url":"https://www.reforestamosmexico.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Informe-anual-2025.pdf","source_note":"Informe anual 2025, p.6 (Programa Bosques): '295 mil árboles reforestados en zonas rurales' on 125 ha;
