{"slug":"fundacion-lurgaia","name":"Fundación Lurgaia Fundazioa","tagline":"Buys and restores land on the Basque coast, replacing eucalyptus with native oak; planting and acorn days","description":"Lurgaia acquires or takes custody of land along the Cantabrian coast and restores it with native trees and shrubs, more than 870 hectares so far, including Undabaso, the largest mixed oak wood in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Volunteers plant trees and collect acorns on autumn Saturdays; the next dates are posted on its activities page. You can also become a member or buy a Bono de Bosque that funds a few square metres of land.","website_url":"https://lurgaia.org","tier":"listed","resident_offers":["volunteer"],"listed_source_url":"https://lurgaia.org","logo_url":null,"founded_year":null,"org_type":"nonprofit","scope":"regional","headquarters":{"city":"Bilbao","region":"País Vasco","country":"ES","lat":43.263,"lng":-2.935},"volunteer_url":"https://lurgaia.org/","donation_url":"https://lurgaia.org/mi-donacion/","events_url":"https://lurgaia.org/category/actividades/","featured":false,"trees_on_record":0,"primary_activity":"reforestation","activities":[{"slug":"reforestation","name":"Reforestation","primary":true},{"slug":"seed-collection","name":"Seed collection","primary":false}],"updated_at":"2026-11-08T08:55:34.010Z","url":"https://treerm.org/org/fundacion-lurgaia","markdown_url":"https://treerm.org/org/fundacion-lurgaia.md","api_url":"https://treerm.org/api/v1/organizations/fundacion-lurgaia","data_note":null,"derived":{"annual_trees":[],"latest_annual":null,"yoy":null,"cagr":null,"dollars_raised_per_tree":null,"cost_per_tree":null,"trees_per_volunteer":null,"survival":null,"hectares":null,"transparency":{"score":0,"label":"Opaque","points":[{"key":"annual","label":"Publishes annual tree figures","earned":0,"max":20,"why":"No year-by-year figures found"},{"key":"recent","label":"Figures are recent","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No dated annual figure"},{"key":"sourced","label":"Every figure has a public source","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No figures on record"},{"key":"money","label":"Publishes financials or cost per tree","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No financial figure on record"},{"key":"survival","label":"Reports survival or monitoring","earned":0,"max":15,"why":"No survival or monitoring figure on record"},{"key":"verified","label":"Independently verified figure","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"Every figure is the organization's own count"},{"key":"programs","label":"Breaks figures down by program","earned":0,"max":10,"why":"No program breakdown"},{"key":"people","label":"Reports volunteers or events","earned":0,"max":5,"why":"No volunteer figures or events on record"}]},"methodology":"https://treerm.org/methodology"},"countries":["ES"],"social_links":{},"programs":[],"metrics":[],"upcoming_events":[],"license":"CC-BY-4.0"}
